Mally Mall Catapults Rae Sremmurd and Juicy J into the Billboard Hot 100 with the Smash Hit ‘Powerglide’

AMusic Industry Veteran Continues to Make His Mark on Hip-Hop with New Projects

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Veteran hip-hop producer Mally Mall adds another chart-topping hit to his resume with the release of “Powerglide” performed by Rae Sremmurd featuring Juicy J. The single debuted at No. 76 on Billboard’s Hot 100, and No. 37 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and No. 20 on R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales.

Following its initial debut, the song has continued to gain momentum having been featured in an ESPN primetime promo and with the release of the music video, earning over three million views in just three days. A review by Pitchfork praises the song for elevating trap music.

“I feel blessed to have produced the track and put it all together,” said Mally Mall, who recently celebrated the success of “Powerglide” at Church on Sundays, the music industry’s hottest night in Hollywood. “I’ve had a lot of success, and I’m proud to count this as one among many. I have a talented team and we’re continuing to go up from here.”

The success of “Powerglide” is part of a long list of accolades earned by Mally Mall, including Top 10 hit such as “Transform Ya” with Chris Brown, Swiss Beats and Lil Wayne, “Caught Up” with Usher and “Peaches and Cream” with 112. His consistent work with industry newcomers and icons like Snoop Dogg and Justin Bieber has secured his place in the industry as one of the most talented and versatile producers in the game.

In recent years, successful singles like “Powerglide,” shout outs in hits from big names like Wiz Khalifa and Drake, and appearances in the pop culture phenomenon “Love and Hip Hop Hollywood,” are some of the things that have kept Mally Mall top of mind with today’s hip-hop fans. However, his legacy, influence and impact on the music industry stretches back nearly two decades, and goes beyond the mixing board.

In 2008, Mally Mall executive produced “2 Turntables and a Microphone, The Life and Death of Jam Master J” in collaboration with rapper and actor 50 Cent. He’s also credited with retrieving 2Pac vocals and returning them to famed rapper’s family after his death.

Currently, Mally Mall is the studio working on new music as a producer, but also as an artist. Other projects include a soon-to- launch collection with the clothing brand Eyeconic.
